Norway Ridge Pathway

Located in Alpena County, this 7-mile Norway Ridge Pathway is open to hiking, dog walking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding. The trailhead is located 4.5 miles southwest of Alpena.

Located in Alpena County, this pathway travels through a northern white cedar swamp and offers 9 miles of trail. The trailhead is located 11 miles west of Ossineke.

Alpena Golf Course Cross Country Ski Trail

Trail length: 2.5 miles

(Winter only) Located in the City of Alpena, this 2.5-mile trail is groomed for both classic and skate skiing—the only one of its kind in Alpena County. The trailhead is at the intersection of Genshaw Rd. and Dow Dr., with access kindly provided by the Alpena Golf Club.

Cross-country skiing only – no hiking or dogs, please.
