8th Annual Chippewa Hills Mountain Bike Race

Chippewa Hills Pathway
In cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Thunder Bay Trails Association is hosting the 8th annual Chippewa Hills Mountain Bike Race. The race will take place on Saturday September 6th at the Chippewa Hills Pathway. Start time for all classes and age groups will be at 1:00 PM. Chippewa Hills Pathway located in the Mackinaw State Forest is approximately 18 miles southwest of the City of Alpena. The course is dry, hard packed and fast. The course is a nine mile loop that will be challenging for all skill levels. Beginner class will do 1 lap, sport class 2 laps, expert and elite 3 laps. The race will start and finish at 13018 Bartz Rd. Generous contributions from our corporate sponsors, (HighMount Energy & Exploration and QuickSilver Resources), allows TBTA to host a quality event. Medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in their respective class and age divisions. Many prizes will be given away by drawing. Must be present to win. Registration fee is $20.00 pre-registration postmarked before September 1st, $25.00 day of race. Proceeds from the race will go to Thunder Bay Trails Association to used for its stated mission.
